Nothing can separate us from God's love. Romans 8: 38-39 "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor heighth, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
What is our God like? "God is love." 1 John 4:16
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9
Jesus called God, Abba, Father which means Papa or Daddy (Mark 14:36). Jesus is God's son, so this would be expected, but we are also told to call God this, too and that we are adopted into God's family. Roman's 8:15 "...ye have received the Spirit of adoption, that we cry, Abba, Father." God chose us and adopted us verse 16 of Romans 8 says "...we are the children of God." This is amazing love! Before I heard this I had never thought of God in this way. What a closeness that creates. He's not unapproachable- He's just the opposite! He loves us in a way that cannot be described good enough with mere words. There is no love that equals His!
He gives a good things. James 1:17 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights..."
"But God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
God loved us first. I love that! 1John 4:16 "We love Him, because He first loved us."
